China banned the use of iPhone: China, which has the largest production volume in the smartphone world, is making new moves to expand its course in this field. Adding a new one to these, the Far East country has made an interesting move to reduce its foreign technology dependency.
Chinese government officials will not use iPhones
According to the Wall Street Journal, China believes that foreign technology is pushing data out of the country. The government took action for this and banned the use of smartphones originating in the USA. Thus, Chinese government officials will not keep iPhone devices.

The statement of the ban includes the phrase “reducing its dependence on foreign technology and preventing possible leakage of sensitive data”. From now on, officials will not use iPhones for work-related tasks and will not bring these devices to the workplace.
In fact, this move can be perceived as a retaliation. Because the USA has decided to embargo Huawei in recent years. The reason was cited as the smartphone manufacturer’s leaking of information from the USA to China. However, this could pose a problem for Apple.

Most of Apple’s production is done in China. It is a matter of curiosity how the production of the company will be affected after such a decision. On the other hand, it should be noted that Apple has made important moves to exit China in recent years. The company is making significant investments to take the production line from China to Taiwan and India.
